If you knew William Christopher “Bill” Hight—or simply knew of Urbanna’s “unofficial mayor”—you know this could never be an ordinary auction. Bill was a professional collector, a boat enthusiast, a local historian, and a familiar face throughout the community. His collection is every bit as interesting and entertaining as the man who assembled it. Each piece reflects something that caught Bill’s eye, sparked his curiosity, or connected him to the people, places, and stories he enjoyed. This online-only auction features Urbanna memorabilia, militaria, nautical and marine items, sterling and Chinese export silver, original art, vintage advertising, model boats with technical drawings, hunting and fishing collectibles, and plenty of unexpected finds. This is the first of several online-only auctions from Bill’s extensive collection, presented by Walnut Hill Auctions. If you're looking for an unusual treasure - you'll enjoy exploring this catalog! Join us as we celebrate a life well lived and a remarkable collection — one memorable find at a time.
